--- This project aims to throw the door open for a new artistic movement called “Collaborate Art”. So it is in the sake of the success of this project if this new movement evolves. Project setup On
a - at the beginning only virtual - canvas of the size 1500mm x 1000mm
(display on the screen smaller, of course) there are spaces of 15mm x
10mm to be designed by paricipants from all over the world. The piece
of art is thus the result of the combination of all those individual graphics.
The work is done once all spaces have been designed. Now the projects
goes “real”: A limited edtion is produced as art prints, the
number corelated to the number of spaces the work contains of. Name of the project In 1974, Andy Warhol stated that in the future, “everybody will be world-famous for 15 Minutes”. We take this saying but give you 15 Milimeter rather than 15 Minutes. --- I´m not an artist. May I participate nevertheless? Definitively: YES. „Everybody is an artist“, Joseph Beuys stated. So, you are one yourself, too, even if you didn´t know until now. --- What size e.g. format do the individual spaces have? The spaces have the size of 15mm x 10mm. Please send your graphics (photographs, illustrations, …) via email in the correct size or, at least, in the format 3:2. Details about the accepted file formats and more you´ll find in the terms & conditions (click on Participate!) --- How many spaces may I fill with my graphics? You may fill as many spaces as you like e.g. as there are available. --- May I purchase one of the art prints without participation in the designing process? No, only active participants get art prints of the work. That´s because it´s a limited edtion. There will be as many prints as there are spaces the piece of art consists of. --- What does the participation cost? The costs for participation (and therefore for the art prints the participants receive) increase in the course of the project. You´ll pay the price that´s show at the top of the webpage. Starting price is 15 Euro (plus a shipping and handling
fee). After 1000 spaces have been filled, the price rises to 30 Euro,
after another 1000 to 45 Euro and so on. --- When do I get my art print(s)? The art prints are beeing shipped approximately 2 weeks after the work is completed. --- The piece of art is complete when all spaces are designed. How long this will take depends on all of us. So please tell many friends and collegues of this exciting project. With that you may help to create a new artistic movement that will find it´s place in art history. If for some reason it turns out that there are no more participants joining the project after a couple of month, all so-far participants can vote for the work as beeing defined “complete”. In any case, however, the 10000 prints will be produced. --- Why should I participate as early as possible? 2 good reasons: 1. The cost per space/art print is increasing in the course of the project (see “what does the participation cost?”) 2. The serial numbers of the scpaces/art prints are given away chronologically. So if you want to get one of the popular “low” numbers, participate now. --- Where will the work be exposed? The definite aim is to get this exciting art project a place it deserves. That´s why there are pending negotiations with museums and galleries at present. Please refer to the Blog in the course of the project. --- My name ist Phil Stine and I live in Germany. If there are earnings (after the costs have been paid for), these will go back into art. The initiator of this project plans to set up a gallery for young art. Especially new and (yet) unknow artists will be offered a forum to present their work. On the other hand, a greater audience shall be addressed by this new gallery concept, so that art is no longer an exclusive passion for the few. With the participation of the project you´ll give the unlimited rights of the graphic(s) you sent open to the public. You may only participate, if you are holding the intelectual rights of the material you send in. --- |
